I think the radial brakes look shit on that bike.

Hmm yes fair point well made.... I'll get me coatAlso that it's a pre-production gaffer tape test version and there are people commenting that they don't like the way it looks![]()

It's weird.
I'd say that engine looks very much like a development mule and quite a long way from production ready.
From what I can see in the picture I spotted that
1. The complete F/D hub seems redesigned and obviously a lot bigger.
2. The shaft single arm seems completed isolated from the environment like the Honda’s and MotoGuzzi’s.
3. Rear suspension changed angle and arm….it seems like there is no para-lever.
4. Also it seems that tele-lever have substituted by USD.
I hope they used a conventional multi-friction plate clutch instead of the stupid single plate dry clutch.
.
Is definitely paralever you can see the bearing. Not sure about the front but it looks to me like fake up side down with the front guards, they also look too close to allow the top to slide by. I hope so anyway because the telelever is what made the bike for me. As said, it would be a huge step backwards to go to conventional forks, up side down or not.
I have just been looking at another photo and it appears to show the telelever mounting on the engine so it looks like it's still there.![]()

Exhaust on the other side means those with system cases will need new 'uns. I've got system cases. Bugger.
I have it from a very reliable source that the engine is finished. It could have been available for 2012 but it is the rest of the bike that is lagging behind and the reason we've got to wait for 2013.
I guess BMW will throw some teasers at the press in the New Year to try and spoil sales of other marques and try to keep customers loyal to the marque until 2013. Looking at the dreadful colour schemes they've come up with for GSA's and RT's for next year they need to do something to restore confidence!![]()
Christ guys give them a chance huh? The bike isn't in production yet so any or all bodywork could change. For all we know the whole frame could just be a mule testbed to test the engine hence the 2013 release. And why dont we let them finish it before we start slagging it off on reliability.
