Does anyone have waypoints with BMW service/repair workshops worldwide (main cities) or for as many countries as possible they would be willing to email as attachment?
I use Garmin's Mapsource which can import *.GDB or *.mps formats.
Cheers

Fanum does, send him a PM and he will email them to you. :)

Thank you

Wilco Whatton- tks 4 tip

You're a star!

Gerry you're a star-
Now then, keep going for Greece, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, India, Oz...and more to come as planning develops!By the way, these are individual listings, do you know a way of combining them?
Cheers

Bert,

rather than clog your GPSR up with a million waypoints, consider getting a printed list (I'm sure BMW GB would help you out with this) of BMW dealers for the countries you plan to visit and use the GPSR to find an address when you need one.

Just a thought - it might be simpler...

Mike:)

ps I used the "Find Dealer" facility, built into my Navigator II, twice in the USA - both times it sent me to the wrong address - one a quarter of a mile away, the other nearly a mile - using the "find address" function took me to straight to their door...

Thanks but

I did call BMW in UK and they say they have no listings whatsover for the UK let alone for the rest of the world...

I asked if there was an 'information' point or office within BMW custromer service which would provide info for travellers and was told...no such thing, we can't help you....

For a company such as BMW who promotes their bikes so actively as the best for worldwide travel etc etc etc and blow their trumpets so much, I find it quite extraordinary that when it comes to providing basic info such as dealership/repair shop addresses you might as well ask them to quote Einstein theory of relativity...

How does 'nul point' so far grab them....no idea- they don't seem to care much. Shame really.

In fairness to them, they did suggest I call BMW Germany (Munich) and ...gave me the wrong number....
Hey ho......

Bert,

My Service pack has central contacts numbers for all of Europe.

Greece
Roadside assistance: (+30) 210-94 06 333-4
Dealer network info: (+30) 210-62 03 991-7 + as above

Turkey
Roadside assistance: (+90) 212-337 4323
Dealer network info: 0800-219 0102 + as above

It also covers East Europe, but doesn't seem to go farther east than Turkey, which seems reasonable seeing it is a European cover booklet.
Seems the phone is the thing to use first, then find the local dealer address on your GPS. :nenau PB

Of course they've got a list. Sounds to me as if someone is late for their Christmas Dinner and can't wait to get out the door.
