Might be tempting fate but I have just arrived in Rencurel in the South of France having ridden all the way from Bedfordshire two-up with luggage and my LC is still working! I must have got one of the good ones ;)

Hi Engineer, I think there must be at least two good ones out there, I did a trip down to Garmisch in July, 2 up (not exactly slim jims either) loads of luggage. There and back via Belgium, France, Germany and Austria, 2200 miles not even used a drop of oil!! Enjoy your trip without a care in the world :beerjug:

I only saw two toilets on my wee trip in Europe. One near the Ducati factory and the other in Germany on a recovery trailer. To be fair, the toilet being recovered did seem to have some duck tape holding a pannier on. :augie

Why am I not surprised

Make that 3 good ones, mine has done 7600 miles since march, basic model ,no fancy bits to break.
It did have a new water pump when it was being serviced, but no drama. it just needs new tyres now urgently.

Well I got mine in May, done 1200 miles on it, seems ok. I just haven't taken to it.

I rashly signed up to BMW finance plan & would appreciate any feedback from anyone that has ended one early.

Regretting not buying a late triple black instead

Mine can't be too bad either, Rode to Jerez and back for the MotoGP last May with some mates,

Rode down through France, over western Pyrenees, los Picos, popped into Portugal for a bit, had a great time and didn't break down once (there were 2 of us on LC's) just under 4k in 16 days, cant wait to do it again next year:beerjug:

And its STILL going strong:D

Settling early is allowed. Its your legal right. Law is on your side as interest is calculated daily these days. I have done it a few times, once 'cos the bike was shite and I got my money back fromm BMW Finance amd a few times for early upgrades. Ring up BMW Finance to discuss - they are helpful and friendly.

Wonderful part of France, every motorcyclist should come here at least once - hmmm perhaps not as it will ruin it for us cognoscenti :)

Thanks, thats promising, I might not lose my entire shirt, just the sleeves!

Hope you are having better weather than when we stayed there! Enjoy your trip

Weather great so far, scorchio on the way down, a bit cooler now we have arrived, chance of some showers and maybe a thunderstorm but that is always the case in the mountains - even if it rains I don't care because it is just a great place to be.

Ah, `even if it rains` - love that fella, my sentiments entirely. I`d rather be on my bike when its raining than not at all. I`ve seen too many sports bike owners get all bent out of shape coz it starts raining...............

My WC is in the south of France and is doing quite nicely.

It's been to Stockholm, Copenhagen, Berlin, London, just to name a few places.

The cruise control button fell off last year, didn't call BMW assistance though..
:augie
