Not long ago I swapped my 1000rt for a 2010 1200 and one of the first things I changed was to replace the screen with a Z-Technik V stream as I thought the original very poor.

Now I have always felt that the weather protection was not as good, and although I have got a bit damp after riding in he rain, I had manged to miss any very heavy rain showers, unlike when ever I took out the 1000 it p**ed it down :P
.
Yesterday, however, we were out and got caught in a very heavy downpour, and I got a running commentary from my wife on the back saying how much rain was hitting my hands, shoulders, arms and in fact was hitting her! In a very short while, we were both much wetter than we had ever been on the 1100:eek:

Is it just me, or is changing he screen to blame:confused:

I've found the Z-Tech screen to be very good, I think the 12ooRT has pretty reasonably weather protection. If you want to stay dry, get a car :-)
