Had a wee camping weekend away with 4 pals. Four 1200GS's and one Tiger

Friday night Ullapool, Saturday night Applecross, then home via Spean Bridge.

Lots of great roads, lots of beer, lots of midges, a little Pish taking and some rain

A great weekend

Applecross

Looks like you had a great time.

Did you camp at the Applecross inn?

I am heading up to Mull, Skye, Gairloch then up along the north coast to Scrabster for the ferry across to Scapa flow for a week diving, 2 weeks mid sept.

Just final stages of planning routes and may stop off in Applecross if i can find a good campsite.

Any good pointers always welcome.

Stu

Aye ... too good for us 1150 folk now eh :bounce1

The campsite can be found on www.applecross.uk.com

Its a good site, cafe/bar are very nice. Showers inclusive.
£6.00 a person a night

Just a short walk to the Applecross inn. pays to book in advance esp weekends

Den you're far too dapper with your new jacket I would feel scruffy next to you :thumb

Excellent, thanks

Me and either one or a few friends are heading over to Scotland between the 5th and 8th of September. We're looking to hit Inverness for our first night, possibly Ullapool the second and maybe Skye the third before the late ferry home on the Friday. The places I want to visit are Loch Ness, Cape Wrath, Applecross (again :D ) and that really twisty road built by German POW's that's like a roller coaster but I can't remember the name off :o , amongst other points of interest.

Hi Smeggy, is that the 863 from Glencoe around by Kinlochleven to North Ballachulish?? - superb road :D :D

Cheers ......................Grizzly

I'm not sure. I was over with the VFR lads (Schtum etc.) a few years ago and just remember what a fantastic road it was. :clap
