Hi All.

Is there anybody around the Hull and east yorks area who wants to do the odd Saturday or Sunday rideout?
Don't mind if it's for a couple of hours or a full day.:D

Cheers.

Mike.

If only,
still only 3 wks after my op so going to be at least another 4/5 before i can get back on my bike.
It's driving me nuts and september/October are my favourate riding month's.

Thanks for the replys.

I don't mind where we go. I sometimes go to the squires then on to Brid or Scarb.. Maybe a ride through the moors and across to Whitby?
I'm open to any suggestions if you know any good routes and cafes. :D

cheers

Mike

Could meet you at The Highwayman cafe (at the end of the Yorks bypass on the A64) at 10.00 Sat, then over the moors to Sandsend, Back over the moors to Carlton Bank and home. (all on tarmac of course)
2 X F800GS riders.

Sounds good to me. MM do you know where this cafe is as I am unsure?
MM, we could meet in Beverley and travel up to meet Sooty.
Say, Halfords car park near Morrisons at 9am?

This section needs a bit more clarity, I have no idea if its a goer or not.
Sounds like a Sunday ride out now.
Sorry lads (or lasses), Im out for a ride on saturday but I need a firm confirmation before I sit around for an hour to see if anybody turns up.
Ill gladly go out for a run any weekend, perhaps a bit more notice is required.
I can be contacted through the message board.

Hello

Sorry for slow reply.. I was thinking Sunday would be best for me this weekend. I happy to meet up in Beverley first thing.
I'm not totally sure where that cafe is. But i'm thinking its off the york ring road A1237 and turn up A64 to Malton?

cheers :)

Hope I did not sound too grumpy, this weekend is OK for a ride out. If its North Yorks moors (hope the wind has died down) I could meet at the Highway man cafe, Its in the right direction for the coast.

North Yorks moors: Meet at the Highway man café. Its very convenient to get to, Its on the A64 heading to Malton, a few hundred yards on the left after the A1237-A64 end of York bypass roundabout.

Hello.

Yes that sounds fine to me, it look like the weather is going to be ok for Sunday.
Shall we say 10am, give n take 15mins or so? Do you know roughly how long the route takes to do? There is no problem time wise for me, just interested to know. :)

Cheers

Mike

OK for me, 10.00 approx. A good route over the moors to Sandsend (66 miles) takes about 2 hours depending on conditions and the ability of other riders. From there a quick blast home via the A169 if thats your thing or are short of time. I prefer the more interesting route over Stape to Fridaythorpe as a finishing point,(55 miles) 90 min.
Note- all roads are tarmac although a bit bumpy with the odd bit of grass and gravel.
Hope the wind dies down, I have just seen a line of demo bikes blown over outside Jefferies shop in Shipley, including the HP2 road bike and three GS1200 including an Adventurer.
See you tomorrow.

Yup see you both there, and i would like to do a longer ride for sure! :D

No probs, how about the first little carpark area westbound on the A1079 as you come off the Bev bypass (A164)?

What time do you want to meet there?

Cheers
