Hi guys, well having decided to get into the offroading on the gs alot more i have started to try and trim some weight off the old girl.
1) - Remus titanium can and y peice - not sure what this saved exactly compared to stock as i did the conversion before i was interested in weight saving. if anyone knows please let me know (Done)
2) have removed lots of farkle rubbish and will continue to reduce the wiring etc in the stuff that i have kept (Half Done)
3) indicators - a simple one this! by removing the standards and putting on some decent quality (not chinese rubbish) led ones i have reduced the weight by 500g! on indicators!!!! They also solve the problem of them rubbing on the pannier mounting frame and are brighter than the originals. spot on. (pics to follow this evening) (Done)
4) going to convert one of my touratech foglights into hid and ditch the l/h side one
5) are the magnesium rocker covers actually any lighter than the standard ally ones? anyone got a spare ally and mag one they could weigh for me?
6) get a lightweight set of 21" front & 18" rear made up with excel / Talon rims
7) convert the rear master cylinder to a motocross type - will only loose a few grams but itll look cool
Thats all the simple stuff i have / want to do so far. After these it starts to become a little more expensive.
Goal - loose 30 kg... without buying a 1200.
And im gonna loose 30kg as well
