I have 57 plate 1200, purchased new in Nov 07. Within 300 miles, it broke down. Fuel relay switch. Whilst riding through Spain and France I felt a juddering whan applying the rear brake. When I returned, off to Ocean. The rear disc had warped quite badly and was replaced.

Within 3000 miles, broke down again. Ring antenna failure. Again fixed under warranty and another hire car for a couple of days.

Recently I have felt something just wasn't quite right when riding. The back end seemed to be twitching when cornering. Back to Ocean today. Final drive fecked and needs to be replaced along with another new disc and pads.
5000 on the clock now.

Since I started riding in '77, I have never had so little confidence in any bike I owned.

So feck it!!! I'm off to Malaga Sunday to drown my sorrows in sangria!

Reason I've traded mine in for a Katoom
Great when they go but ffs I've never had a bike so unreliable since my BSA Bantam that I got for £50

Don't forget to post the FPC failure in Tim's thread, if you haven't already done so. I'm on my third, and my fourth is in my top box.

Get a KTM 950 Supermoto. Relaxed riding position, heated grips, comfy seat, autocom, music, 2-way radio, 700 mile days. BUT GOES LIKE A MAD BASTARD AND 1,000,000 TIMES MORE FUN.
