The bike is a R80G/S and it went very well, started first time [been stood for a few weeks] and absorbed the miles like it should. There were no apparent issues except it developed a slight oil leak between the engine and the timing / rotor section, is this likely to be any issue? and why would it start there? (about a third down)? :( [pics will follow but not till late in the week]

And lost a thumbscrew to attach the single seat to the frame - anyone know where I could locate one of these? Have tried but not seen one on the usual sites, but blindness is a possibility and I have trouble with losing things! :augie

I think you had better sit down. A leak from there is terminal and not repairable at all. I'll do you a huge favour and buy it off you for £500 to save you any more hassle...I'm that kind of guy :beerjug:

Thumbscrew, try Colt:augie
As Rob says about the Leak, it's terminal :( but I'll top Robs offer tho' by another £100

About £3 :)

Try tightening it up first it sounds like it's just the gasket it may simply be loose or there's two small O shaped gaskets that sometimes get missed when cam chains are swapped. the cover doesn't pull down properly if you don't have them fitted.

In the unlikely event that it is damaged. Drop me a line and I'll sort you out cheaply.

You lot had me worried! :P

But given that you lot would rob your gran, when it comes to these bikes :D, I spoke to the worthy and knowledgable Steve S and felt a lot better, you pair of :rob barstewards. [bike is going into him shortly for the Siebenrock fitment, and mods so thought I had better warn him that he might have some more work!]]

Have you ever seen a grown man cry? :dabone

Could be either the breather pipe has come off or loose allen screws? I was giving it some hard work I have to say

I will give it a try Rob, seems the leak is above the gasket so will take the top cover off first and see what has happened. Thanks for the offer of help, much appreciated. :beerjug: I have a gearbox that needs a sorting tho :P
