Any one ever been caught in a absolute monstrosity of a thunder storm with their phone in their pocket????

Nice sunny ride out when all of a sudden bam.Gets dark quick and there you have it ..downpour. Me and my summer gear on and return home to a wet phone...... :spitfire

I am asking if anyone has any tips?? :nenau Shall i let it dry naturely , blow dryer or what.. Kinda still works but screen a bit misty....Good phone too but dont wanna go out and spend money on a new one.....Might have to :spitfire

Flush it with de-ionised water first, otherwise there is a risk of water-bourne minerals eating the internals. It won't happen overnight, but it will reduce the lifespan of the phone.
 
my LCD screen 'dissolved' - lots of clear lines - after months of drying out :(:(:(


it was in my backpack with a bottle of water....................that leaked a bit :tosser
 
Phones and wallets go UNDER the Gore-Tex lining ! :D :D

Having wshed my phone throiugh a 50 degree wash lat month, I followed the instructions you were given above.

24 hrs and a replacement battery later and my phone works fine.

It did make me move all my numbers to ther SIM card and away from the phone memory in case I shoudl do it again.

No more dirty phone calls.
