Yet Another Engine
The oil light issue continued and has ended up as........
I have another short engine on the way
(It was guaranteed for 6 months,
thank god for good dealers)
After oil sensor change, new oil filter, O-ring and shim we got a pressure gauge made up at Pirtek, which fits into the bike where the oil pressure sensor is located. The actual gauge was mounted on the instrument panel, just to make my life easier. This was the final proof to see if there is something wrong.

Gauge located on instrument panel

Take of point - the oil sensor point
Normal pressure @ 80°C should be 5.0 bar @ 4000rpm
When I started off on a little jolly the pressure was fine
the bike had already been running for about 10 minutes before we left and all was OK. Good pressure.
But after a while the pressure dropped to 2.0 bar @ 4000rpm
not good
Bad News – Yet another engine removal and fitting session
Good News – Got bike lifts now
