What ARE they thinking of?

A 300% price increase. :eek I wonder where the money will go.

It will really penalise the sensible drinker if it does go through. Bastards.

I had a little Att type rant

I think it was quite good so I may share if you don;t mind?

You fucking government arsehole TWATS is risking the cascading unemployment and detriment to so many working family's really Reap so many benefits????

Ah I can see you don't understand Well Lets start at the farm that's usually a small place outside the cities where you don't actually go except maybe to play golf or ride horsey with Carruthers or Farquhar at his country "place"

Anyway in the orchards Yes, the place where Apples are grown...(we'll not mention pears in case that confuses you!)

The employee chain starts with Apple workers, Apple box makers, machinery operators, Transport companies, Cider plant Folks, Secretarys, managers, workers, and then pass it up the foodchain to the end sellers

People will drink bloody meths and surgical spirit OR they'll make their own

What fucking World do you Government IDIOTS live in???

Still to cheap, should be around a tender a bottle. Wouldn't have to step around so much sick in the gutters on Friday nights.

Take a ferry to France and bulk buy your wine and beer. I do it every year, save a fortune. If its for your own consumption, no problem at customs.:beerjug:

And don't get me started on the offies closing at 10pm! Bunch of idiots. Penalise the responsible and completely fail to address the issue.

I thought a unit was a glass of larger or cider (half a pint), so 14 units would be 7 pints. Where can I buy a bottles of cider that big?

The unit is by alcohol, so presumably they're talking about a bottle of White Lightening (tramp juice ) or some similar white cider...that stuff is 7.5% abv so it doesn't take much to make a 'unit'.

3 litres for £3.49 here....=5.25 pints at 7.5%= 22.5 units

(1 litre is apparently 7.5 units)

tramp juice! like the sound of that, going to ask my local Tesco to get it in!!

I have to warn you...the world will fall out of your bottom :blast

DAMHIK :augie

White lightening is what has taken over from Thunderbird then Special brew as the tramp's favourite tipple.....the taxation on it hasn't caught up with the alcohol content (yet)

It's foul and chemically (made up word) but it does the job IYKWIM
