Ive come from sports bikes and when i got my GS the only gear that was any good was my gloves and my boots (daytona cavers) the wife has let me rob the piggy bank (again) and says i can have some new boots , iam opting for mx type boot but what ones , are they water proof etc, what have you got and what you found with them.

TCX Infinity.

Not as tough as MX but win all the awards.

Goretex and 100% waterproof.

Very comfy.Had mine 3 years and still like new.

Spot the similarity?

The Infinity ones and the Hein Gericke ones are the same, only HG cost £180. They call them RALLYE GTX II boots.

BMW also have some exactly the same, I believe they are all made by Oxtar.

I've had mine three or four years, very good.

+ one more! I am on my second pair ... last pair lasted 4 years of daily riding ... the left sole had become too slippery from all the foot down action.

Great boots - even fine when in Hong Kong's long hot and humid summer months and torrential summer downpours.

A fine investment.

Cheers.

Nick

Oxtar changed their name to TCX.

I actually won mine for sending a letter to TWO mag back in 06.

Had pick of Oxtar range and chose these.Couldn't have done better if I tried a dozen different makes/styles.

Will def replace with same again.Shame I'll have to pay next time !

+1 paid £150 for mine superb

You can pay monthly on zero percent finance on the HG ones! :rob

+1 for the HG rallye boots - waterproof and having had bad crash in them which left me with a broken leg but not a mark on the boots. Do seem to have gone up a lot - bought mine 2 years ago for £119.
