How happy are with what was already fitted? did it stop well, last well, how many miles did you get out of them?
So called "sharper" brakes usually trade off increased disc wear, and discs are costly to replace!
Personally I prefer original BMW for all round performance and wear characteristics, just be careful what you buy if using ebay, there's some dodgy gear on there.
Steptoes your man if you chose to go aftermarket.
Cheap and nasty ebay pads, look like EBC but not, stopped ok, but ate the discs and lasted 3500 miles ( I didn't fit them by the the way, already fitted to bike when I brought it, now changed to original
R12GS 16k miles - Not needed to replace the front yet but have gone through rears very quickly. I used Goldfren (via ebay) on the change before last but they only lasted about 2k!
Changed to EBC now and they seem to be lasting much better (5k since last change and about 60% worn). There might be a difference because of summer/winter riding and crud levels but I'm Scotland so the difference is probably negligible.
