Can someone please explain, in words of one syllable, just exactly what Tapatalk is and why I should install it on my iPhone (I am assuming that it is for phones and not laptops)?

Good question..... I've installed it , and what advantage it provides I'm yet to understand.... I think its a case of an old dinosaur being happy with the forum as it is

Essentially, it formats ukGSer to be easily usable on a phone - as simple as that really.
After an initial 'not sure I like this' period when I first got it I'd now never go back to using a browser on my phone to access the site.

there is too much scroll, pinch and zoom needed to browse the forum on an ipad, let alone a phone.
So, can someone tell me how they use it and how it makes matters better/easier? if it an alternative browser for the likes of Safari on an iPhone?
Why not just download it and try it. It's free.
Not just this forum on it either - I use tapatalk for a car forum I frequent, advrider and hubb - much easier on my iphone and ipad than usual browser

I seem to have had it a long time can't remember when but it was free. Really easy to put photos onto the forum. Find it easer to navigate than the main site.

Since this forum changed the way it looks, I use Tapatalk more than ever but it doesn't do everything I want. Maybe it's my iphone, maybe it's the version I have 
The old Tapatalk had a problem displaying images & I still can't see everything that's posted. Doesn't tell me I have a private message & I can't view my Inbox either.
However, open this (new) forum in Safari on my iphone & it prompts every time for a login if I click the "remember me" option & it won't show any images until I do. Very frustrating.

I have downloaded the Tapatalk Community, which is the free version. Tapatalk Pro is £2.99.
if anyone has the Pro version, is it worth paying for that?
