Hi, I was thinking about getting a Rider but for the following reasons have swayed towards a Garmin.
1. I have a Mac and garmin are about to support Macs soon. ( I don't think the Rider supports Macs, but if you know different...)
2. I will use it abroad and the Rider is extra cost for other maps.
3. Some of the time it would be useful to make my own routes.
What I like about the Rider is the fast processor and the ability to hold on to a signal well, and also the speed camera database from the Rider website.
That is the bit that I need a lot of info about ( the speed camera's). My two choices would probably be between the Quest II and the 2610 and would like to know if it's possible to get speed cameras on the units easily and if they are up to date and as slick as the Rider system. This is so important to me because I'm about to get the licence back in a few days after being banned for the last six months! I would also appriciate info regarding comparisons between the two units (positive and negative's).
I have read so much recently about this subject on this forum and I have a bit of overload now. I just don't want to buy something so expensive and have regrets.
regards Mark.
