Last ride out my right hand grip started moving or more precisely rotating round the bars. On close inspection there are 2 brackets, 1 on the bars and 1 on the grip, which bolt together (with rubber washers in) to stop this happening. The one one the grip has snapped at the weld thus not doing its job. I've looked on the exploded diagrams on this site but it is not shown. Anyone know what this is called or even a part number? has this happened to anyone else? Bikes a '98 1100.

I thank you.:thumb2

I think this is a anti vibration system built into the handlebars.

I had to remove these handlebar end “sleeves?”) and isolation rubbers to powder coat my bars. I messed up and tore the isolation rubbers as I removed them,

Upshot is BMW don’t sell the rubbers or any other part of the handlebar including the sleeves separately. Just the bar as a whole….. not cheep

I think the only option is re weld or buy second hand. I got a bent pair from Sherlock’s for a tenna and removed the isolation covers carefully this time.

Remember the ends are also handed the left wont fit the right due to grip mounting holes.
