No i thought they only fitted the 1150, do you know how much a set with racks are??

no idea but I know they are cheaper than the BMW stuff. Also check otu the Gobi set. I like them but I can't comment on the load capacity. I'm pretty sure it's less than the BMW stuff. I've got the BMW panniers and will probably go with a Givi top box.

TEESTAR, here's the E52 and Jesse's:

May not be to everyone's liking, but very useful. As I'm sure you know, the Jesse's are very robust and top-loading, while I like the Givi box as it takes two full-faces.

I had to cut and weld the tubes of the different mounting systems together, as they crossed, but after getting them re-coated, the result is a very robust set-up. The tubes are the same dia. (18mm?), so it looked fine after:

after months of debate, (mainly trying to justify the exorbinant cost BMW wants for the top box can someone explain to me how the top box costs almost as much as the pair of panniers and don't tell me it's the dang mount since that piece of.... has been failing) I've gone with the Givi E460. bit more squared off than the V46 but still a 46 litree box and cheaper especially just buying the flat black. My buddy bought Givi all around for his Vstrom so it gave me a good look @ the stuff. Quality parts. I'm not concerned with the off-road capabilities of the stuff. When I plan my trip down south I'll p/u some metal gear solid. :shoot: Bottom line the Givi price I got out of my dealer was $408 OTD Canadian to the BMW's $850 CAD OTD.

CHEERS GUYS some really good info coming out.

Cheers for the pics your bike looks well with that setup (!!it helps being the fastest colour!!)
How long did you have to wait for the panniers to be delivered and how much did you pay for yours (if you dont mind me asking) how do you get on with the size/weight of the panniers?

id love to get all three but i dont want to over kill it (if you know what i mean) I need three boxes when the other half is on the bike, but only need the panniers when am going out solo

TEESTAR,

I have all three because I travel for weeks at a time and need to carry quite a bit. The top loading feature is very useful as well.

Cheers,
