Hi All
Just bought my first GS an 1100 1998 12k. I have been having a good look round the bike getting to know it, and found a 3 pin plug ( female) under the seat with a blue blanking plug and wondered what it is for, does anyone Know
Regards
Gary

BM connect that to their service computer .. midac or somethin like that. It lets them extract mopney from yer walet.

Shadetree fixers connect one pin to earth for a few seconds then read out a code then look up the code to find out what the EFI thinks is wrong. Real people think about what could be wrong ... and the store of info of what went wrong previously in other similar cases.

The best use of the three pin is to earth the middle wire to reset your abs when it packs up. Costs zilch and takes but a few minutes. If you don't have ABS or its working fine... I'll get me coat

Thanks for the replies thought it might for a heated seat if fitted

And so the process begin's ! Say goodbye to your credit card !

there are two plugs on 1100 , one for the potentometer , the other for the fault code reader/TPS setting plug .

its not a moditec, its a hand held unit .
