Well, simply put, the lock locks nothing! Checked by locksmith who I don't think was that interested. I'll take a screw driver out at lunch time and see if I can show you what I mean.

Hmm. I need the key to turn the barrel, but often the handle can be lifted in either key position.
I had another look this morning. I'll just use the panniers to lock things in. Awful silly design though. On the positive, it is mahoosive!
