i didn't think you had a bb chip though, do you?

if so, how do you make the jump from the bb chip docs relating to their chip to application on standard chip.

you wouldn't care to post BB's docs would you? 1150 pin out would be nice. i only have 1100 version. is it different?
 
Yes your right, i haven't any chip - here's the BB advice sheet for the 1150 -

i'm not sure that fitting the chip makes much difference ( apart from the £200 cost), than just changing the code settings .

what does it say against that link and the one above it?

my 1100 pin out says: "stage 1, original condition, 8100rpm" for *your* link & "stage 2, aftermarket exhaust system without cat" for the link above.
i suspect 1150 is not the same.

also, what lead you to the conclusion that using that link would be much the same with std. chip as with the bbchip fitted? i still get pale coloured plugs using that setting.

Can you share the pin outs you have for the 1100, standard and stage 2 as above?

Haven't got a chip fitted - just Y piece and remus, and it runs much better ( good mixture) with it set up as in the picture .

What exactly is this doing? Or is it just more of the BMW 'black magic'? Is it richening the mixture? ie flipping to a map that allows the engine to run richer?
 
Steptoe, I'm interested to know what year your 1150GS is? Bwm changed their standard chip sometime in 2000 (middle of the year I think). Do you know anything about this change? Have you had a dyno run before and after putting in your male connector thingmebob (on the bike!). ;)
