Well!

What machine would you recommend me to buy ? Thick enough bushes and creepers. Has to be light or she'll never be able to lift it.

all petrol hedge trimmers that i've handled are heavy.

if you have big hedges, the sort with the cutter on a pole is really good, and the balanced weight is taken on a strap. highly recommended.

oh yes, Stihl. again.

In fairness, my son does this class of work around the place. Herself has a cordless clippers which is OK but limited. I want to gear the lad up properly. A father's duty, no ?

Jockser, I will do as you seduced, thank you!

(Very interesting responses from the various players, only Og left. Og, chip in pal!)

I got a Husqvarna one recently and am well pleased with it. Very easy to start too. Like Jockser, no prob to borrow it if you want to give it a try.

Honda.....................no question

4stroke, so lower revs and less vibey

No 2 stroke fumes in your face

Reliable.........................did I mention it was a Honda;)
