Picked this up a while ago for the new 1150, what seat is it? I've got an idea but want an unbiased opinion ;)

Sargent, Corbin etc...

I'd say it is not a sargent or wunderlich... maybe a recovered OEM? :nenau

Hmm, I've seen this cover before on a GS and the owner said it was a Sargent seat. It does not look like a Sargent on their site but it could be 10+ years old and designs change, same for Corbin.

I've got the matching pillion seat too, and it is more comfy than the OEM one....:nenau

True... I've only looked at them for the past 4 years... perhaps we need someone older than us to pitch in :P

If it's a Corbin then the base will be made of fibreglass and be bloody heavy compared to the stock seat.

It's a Komfi seat, originally marketed by Cooper BMW @ Reading in the 90's on a seat exchange basis

Original BMW seat base is used

Canuck was right, just wait for an old git to turn up and all will be revealed :D

Marginally, I didn't find it much better than stock and not worth spending a huge amount to buy one - certainly not Sargent/Corbin price territory:blast

Hope you didin't pay much:augie:augie

No it was cheap...very cheap;)

Another old fart, when the weather gets warm the foam fails and you end up sitting on the base. I had one. Thats why its cheap.::tears

The seat looks good so with a few pounds spent on new foam maybe a gell insert, heating elements etc, you will have a seat better than all the rest and a lot cheaper.

No sorry it has a poor quality seat cover which started cracking (so holding water) within 3 years, bought from new. And they don't make them any more, can't think why

Eloquently summed up and my memories of a Komfi seat from 1997 on my 1100GS:thumb

Don't hold your breath AndrewD........................your bum my not be in agreement:blast

Pile of crap:D

Sore arse after half an hour, the different materials and panels make it lumpy, expect to see an eloquently worded add on eBay sometime soon!

Got my Airhawk tied on top for a trip to Holland tomorrow, need to look for a dead sheep.......or maybe go for 'Wolf'! :eek
