What tailpack 2008 GS?

Just wondering if there are any recommendations for tailpacks? Got a 2008 R1200GS it has the adaptor plate on the rack for the vario top case. Don't really want to be removing that when changing from one to the other. After something to carry a few odds and sods.

just get a vario topcase, well worth it , expandable when u need it and reasonably secure to leave stuff in when parked up

Thanks Pablo, already have the Vario top box but was thinking of something smaller to use for everyday use rather than touring.

What about a smaller pelicase or the equivalent? Hard shell, less bulky than a variocase, and you can lock them with a padlock or add your own locking system.

Kriega US10 or US20 fit perfectly where your pillion seat fits. Or over your pillion seat if you prefer.

Alternatively - Pacsafe (but might be much the same size as a Vario)

Thanks for the suggestions! Had thought about a Kriega US10, had the US5 on my Tenere, quality kit! Thought I'd see what other people were using!

Kriega all day long. Expandable, inter-connectability. Quality

Went with a Held Iconic Evo size medium, fits nicely on the rear rack and is expandable!

Kreiga US 10, 20 or 30 (or combination thereof) - very good quality kit.
