Why has my clock reset itself twice in the last week!!
Is it because i have only done short journies in the last few weeks( say 10 miles).
I have a 1150gs

Battery? Short journeys wont help, best go for a long one ;)

Battery level.

If it drops below a certain level, the clock resets...happens to me a bit now if I don't use the bike for a week (she lives outside).

If it happens regularly, the battery's on its way out...if it was a one-off, it was just too flat and a good run will sort it out.

An hour or two after I rode off the ferry in Kristiansand, when Knut and I was on our way back home from Hograost and Wales, I noticed the clock on my Scarver was showing the wrong time.
It was, and still are, a mystery to mee; nobody could have done it as you need the key for the Scarver to do it, and I had the key with me all the time.

If it was because of the battery, why did I not notice anything? He started, like he use to do, and all was fine!

(-Is there ghosts on the ferry Newcastle - Kristiansand?)

Do you have a low current trickle charger?, the battery will benefit from periodic charging due to the short journeys. Where abouts on the Island do you live?, i may have one you can borrow.

No aint got a charger as yet, but we are looking at the Oxford 360.
She has a Hornet 600, and me the 1150gs. So need to suss out how to run both bikes(one at a time) off charger.
Been told a bmw connector in the same as a John Deere tractor, so should be able to get over here.
If any better idea then tell me please.

IIRC They're otherwise known as "DIN" or "Hella" plugs.

The Oxford 360 has the option of croc clips, hard wired connection to the battery or cigarette type/acc socket connection which should cover all your bikes.
