What to do? What to do?

Mine was inspected by the dealer on the 23rd April, still waiting for a reply. the dealer said it would take 6 weeks to get approval for new engine and drive arm and suggested it would be 2 days work to change it all

Hi, my dealership had the approval within two weeks and the engine within two weeks and have quoted a day to do the job, might be worth chasing them up?

All fitted with a nice new engine, its much smoother! And… my bike was due its yearly/6000 mile service (its on 5000miles) but I was holding off on getting it done as I wanted to see the outcome of this warranty claim. So next week its going in for its 600mile service, which they say is more or less a 6000 service and it will be free!!!

Also had a new brake fluid reservoir cap & seal as it was leaking and also a new sat nav cradle as the iDrive wheel wasn't working.

Either go back to a Twin Cam or change manufacturer :thumb2

Steve
No point in going back to a twin cam. They are just as bad. Had my rocker box covers on a 2012 RT replaced April 2014. By April 2015 they have rusted through the paint again in just 12 months.
The idiot who manages marshals told BMW that it was not a fault due to faulty production - even though he did not even see the bike. Mind you it was the same idiot who told me that my seized brakes was due to me riding the bike in winter :blast.

My engine casings have just started bubbling...mind you it is 17yrs old, with 82k on it and is ridden every day,52 weeks a year.i think I.ll stick to my old trusty 1100gs.
