What to look for when buying an airhead

I liked this line:

"If it smokes from the left side when it is started, don't panic. Even great billowing clouds are acceptable."
 
no mention of slight ammonia smell being perfectly acceptable :rolleyes:
 
What a load of old bollox -
Shaft replacement on the older models 4 hours :rolleyes: One hour at the most.

Plus not one mention of the most troublesome part on old airheads. :augie
 
I had already found this thread a few days ago and found it very informative....I have always just taken a bike to a mechanic and bought nearly new so have never really learnt alot about bikes.
Picking up my r80gs on friday and after reading the article hopefully will be able to recognise some of the more expensive faults that hopefully wont be present on the bike lol.

What to look for when buying an airhead

Make sure she is a true blonde, check for no dark roots showing in the hair.:augie

There are other checks you can make to confirm hair colour.:augie
