What would you add, replace and why

Go to Touratech and buy their entire catalogue - it's what Ewan and Charley did, and they had such a good time the first time around they went back and did it again..... :blast

(Actually, what Steptoe says - you will be amazed at just how little you *actually* need)

ewan and charlie dident "BUY " anything TT was a sponser and provided all the gear

Long trip

I went from Alaska to Ushia in Argentina last year and the best thing I did was
to
fit a bevel box from an 1100 to lower the gearing a bit especially that high bottom gear on the 1150, this will save a lot of clutch abuse on off/rough roads, and heavy traffic. Try it before you go if you don't like it you'll soon sell it on here, belive me it does make a difference and does not appear to affect top speed much while improving acceleration. Have a good trip and
enjoy it. As an after thought put a tie strap around TT panniers as they can come off over rough roads! whatch out for the exhaust side and arrange it so it dosent go opver the pipe. It melts and falls off. (the strap not the pannier!). This happend to me!!.

Or. like me, fit the bevel box from an 850 GS for a first gear like the 1150ADV with the low first gear option. Unfortunately I couldn't find a used one and they are not cheap!

Thanks again for the advice guys. Pegs have arrived and so has y-piece. Bike is booked in for a service with Steptoe who will check it out and point me in the right direction re spares! I like the idea of the easy rider bolt on footpegs. Will have to look for those. I have got the standard BMW panniers but can't really afford at the mo to splash out too much cash as it is mounting up so might have to make do...anyway don't think I will be falling off!!!!:augie yeah right :beerjug:
