Look there aren't many people offering hard cash for your bike on this thread, but, because i''m the kind of guy i am, i'll offer £4500
and the wife and kids can go hungry for a day or two

PS these bikes just aren't worth the money nowadays, old model the new LC launch has been knocking the price right down in the last month, speak to any LC owner they will tell you how much better the new bike is

Referring to my original post above I have been actively trying to sell mine. I'm not usually a sceptical person but out of the seven callers that I had interested in buying my Mega Moto three actually made specific arrangements to come and have a look at said machine. Now bearing in mind that I had spoken at great length to each individual before they asked to have a look not one of them turned up and the worst part of all was none of them had the common decency to phone or text to say they would not be calling after all. I don't understand it,if the price or condition or specification was not up to their expectation I would have thought that they would not have taken the trouble to arrange the viewing in the first place. Having bought and sold bikes of different marques over the years and for a lot more money than the Mega Moto my view of the BMW buying fraternity is somewhat jaded at the moment. And so in answer to the OP's question, what its worth is anyone's guess, because until you have the money in your hand its all hypothetical in my opinion.

The point is, the MM, like all the HP2s, requires a fairly specific buyer - and to that buyer, the bike is worth a lot (Enduros seem to be going from 8 to 12k). To everyone else, it really isn't worth that much, if anything at all. They're not like other bikes that fit in to a category.
So in answer to the OPs question - you can price it around 9/10k and wait for someone who has decided that they want a MM. Alternatively, you can take Shep's offer now

For a 12GS/12GSA you'll have 20 more buyers actually wanting to come to buy, than a MM/HP2E
But then as Mav says, to someone who really understands the bike, he will beat the path to your door to buy a nice one

That one has already sold. I phoned up the dealer and was told he had just sold it. The reason I phoned them because one of the people who could not be bothered to let me know that he was not looking at mine was the person who bought it as he told me he was going to look at that one first.
I think that people that want one start hoping they can find one for around £10,000 but if they really want one will pay more...

It all comes down to going to market with it when buyers are around.

You have to play the long game sometimes.
Just advertise it for what you need to sell it for (not on here), and it will sell. It may not sell until the summer, but it will sell. This is the last place you will sell this bike. Try eBay and Bike Trader.
