Got it !

Sir is suggesting that if on the 8th January there is no snow on the ground, he may go for a ride on his motorbike and is asking other likeminded people for suggestions on where to go and if they would care to join him !

Easy !

Re-8th January...

An hour to Edinburgh... 50ish miles
Two & a half hours from Edinburgh to Ft. William... 133ish miles
Two & a bit hours from Ft. William to Applecross... 100plus miles

While I enjoy challenges, and with the knowledge that the days are getting longer, the thought of leaving here near 6a.m. having an hour or two of thawing in the hotel at Applecross and not getting home till 7 or 8p.m. means that I might have to give this a miss.
But wish all you hardier souls all the best with it...:beerjug:
