Oh God, I just know I am gonna get so much stick for this question:blast
but in the spirit of ending my year on a high, here goes:

Had my 10plate GSA on the centre stand today to do a little cleaning and fettling. Started her up, mainly just to hear the noise of the akro, and noticed the rear wheel spinning quite fast - if I had to guess about 5mph.

Now, I'm sure it never used to do this. Is this normal or something I should worry about and look into?

I know, I know, idiot question but I had to ask :D

Thanks :thumb

The clutch disconnects the engine from the gearbox as it should. Being a dry clutch it does that quite well.

If it was a wet clutch the wheel would probably still rotate.

what oil are you using...? and are your tyres filled with nitrogen...? or hydrogen...?

Wheels

I suspect a new years wind up here!! anyway, happy new year to all.

They all do that, my father 1150gs does exactly the same thing it's nothing to worrry about, which a lot of GS rides don't seem to know judging by the posts put up in thread i started last year. I had several replies telling me it was in gear when it wasn't

All the gear no idea i guess

If only it was a wind up

I am indeed that stupid, believe me I've held back from far worse questions than that :)

Still, I got the advice I needed and got off VERY lightly IMO.

Happy New Year to all of you.
