Joined the ride-in from New Galloway yesterday, it was great to see such a big turnout for this (amazing what a bit of sunshine can bring out

Have to agree. Good day out.
Hate to admit it but that was the first time (in 37 years of biking) I'd ever ridden on the roads in Dumfires and Galloway. Loved the road from the M74 to Newton Stewart (A702) Good surfacing and lots of windie bits. Spotted a red kite at one point.

Would you happen to be the chap with all the stickers on boxes ? I had suggested the route down to The Isle of Whithorn.
