Where are the stickies??

I remember seeing stickies a while back on Neil's (Steptoe) blow-by-blow account of how to do a pukka job of one's valve clearances and also the rocker plate thingy that also needs adjusting.

Have these been pulled? Archived? Must I now rely on my Haynes manual????

Hit your "back" button a couple of times, cast your eyes up a couple of inches and look in "font of all wisdom"

Nick, just pray that your rocker float is correct. After reading that once one of the cylinder head bolts is undone to enable adjusting the correct float, the correct method, as I reacall??? Was to tighten it to some low torque, then rotate a further 180 degrees. Sure it's right, but my mechanical sympathy may well have had some problems with this. I can almost hear the threads strip
