Unfortunately DG999 and myself tried to navigate up it, reached a gate,
got through it for about 50 yards or so and then ended in a bog. If I had proper tyres on we would have pushed on. Better to wait for the dry season.

This it Merv ??

linky
Thats the one,i think there is a trek which goes across the mountain to the gate at the top of Ballyhackett lane but id the wrong bike to be trying that and id say you would be better with company as its wet looking alright.Im not sure about access at the top of Ballyhackett lane as there is a gate (according to google earth)on there and i cant remember if it is locked but it did look used.:aidan
