which boots

Altberg

I have a pair of Clubman Roadsters, 12 years old, tens of thousands of miles use. Yet to leak, very comfortable, hand made like a walking boot, and can be refurbished when necessary (mine will be due in about ten years the way they are going). They do everything, including all day in the office if necessary, and are great to walk in.

The downside as far as I am aware is the waiting time. Last I heard it was 3 months, maybe someone else can comment on this

Altberg Clubman classic suit me. comfortable to walk in, waterproof, totally. Only negative comment I would make is that IMO the velcrose fastening should be on the inside of the boots, and not on the outside. ( not inside, inside you fool:blast )

Oxtar Infinity do it for me:thumb

Its lke wearing your slippers and are great in the wet.

Also comfy for walking out of the pub after:beer:

What you need is.....

BMW Santiago boots.....I just happen to have an almost brand new pair for sale (size 43). Full Goretex, supple yet srong, and to you Sir, £150.

Altberg Bandogs, never leaked, good for biking and a bit of walking and they come in various width fittings which was great news to me.

How about these:

:yelrotflm only kidding of course

I got a pair of Sidi Evo Rains myself for on my bike, very snug and comfy.

another vote for the HG toerags, nealy 11k on the bike (inc 1 german winter) no wet feet, and surprisngly cool in summer

I went to HG last week 'cos my Alpinestars were dead.
I asked the guy there what he recommended & he pointed me towards a pair of Bullson Mate boots.

Gave me a 10% discount ('cos I asked) so I paid £107.99.

Just got back from a 2 week, 2228 mile ride (a fair %age of that in rain) & they proved to be 100% waterproof & they still look as good as new.

I like 'em.
