Which cable to connect ...

I bought a used photo printer (Canon CP 220) and want to print from my MacBook Air. The printer has a USB B and a USB A port. The Mac has two USB A ports and a Thunderbolt port. It also has a SD card reader (I think!).

Do I just need to find either a USB A to USB B cable or a Thunderbolt to USB A or USB B cable???

Is the USB on the Mac a USB 2 or 3?

Says a 3 on the spec but looks like a 2 to me.

Not necessarily. Not all MBA's have them.
