Hi folks,
First time biker and first time buyer here. Just wondering what people's opinions are on Maddock's vs Joe Duffy. Will be going for an F800 GS. Maddocks are closer to me by a long shot.
Thanks for any help!

I bought my GS from Maddocks. I have found them to be very good, good customer care IMHO, and what seems to be a good service garage. No problems so far:thumb.

They don’t sell cars, so are 100% percent focused on the bikes. I’ve sometimes felt like a second class customer in Duffys because I’m not dealing with the car section, but maybe that’s just me.

I’ve told Paddy and Tom in Maddocks about this site several times, they’re aware of it but I’m not sure how closely they watch it, if at all.

I've always found Duffys very good to deal with.. Good service (Even when I had a bike I didn't buy there).

Very good for warranty issues (again on bikes I did and didn't buy there).

Pricing for servicing ranges from "what you were expecting" to quite good, but never felt ripped off.

I know a few Maddocks customers who've moved to Duffy's so this says a lot.

.........BUT if Maddocks is right on your doorstep, I'd buy locally for the convenience (even though I think he can be a patronising obnoxious xxxx:aidan)

Well about 50 50 so far. Thanks for the replies, distance/convenience is winning for now!! :augie
