For £1600 you are coming from a 07 to a 2011. I'd say your getting a good deal. Just 1 thing - in a BMW dealership they would be putting a 1 year guarantee on it. JJH

I know this is a bit over your budget but this is a bargain! I bought an RT from Dick Lovetts a few years ago and they were great to do business with. This is a 90 Year Special edition with only just over 7k mileage on a 2013 plate. And it will have a TWO year BMW warranty with it.

It certainly does look the Ds Bs but it's just too much for me. And with the amount they've already dropped it I can't see them going any further. If they do, I don't think I'll be getting top dollar for mine in PX.

I bought a 2007 RT from a BMW dealer recently and they gave me two years BMW warranty.

Go for the 2011 model

I think I'm getting persuaded about the 2011. I'll be getting a 1 year warranty with it.

Just focus on what you are doing. It can be very easy to loose sight of your original goal and try to make 4+4 = 9. You really need a 1 year guarantee on these bikes. In fairness to BMW dealers that I have dealt with they are very fair and will identify warrenty faults while a bike is in for services or other work. There are one or two parts that are known to fail and are expensive to replace. Low mileage is no indication that a component will not fail. Rather these bikes thrive on use. I've had a good few and seem to have avoided most of the problems. I do a fair mileage and pay for it at trade in time but it's well worth it. My l/c GSA has almost 30,000 miles on it and when warrenty is up in February I'm going to buy extended warrenty. The way I feel about it it will last me till September 2020 when I retire. I'll see what the money is like then but I can honestly say I cannot see any reason to change it. Buy the best you can afford stick for a deasent warrenty and ride it. 3 months is for 10 year old machines. JJH

I recently had to make the same decision - both bikes priced similarly to your two.

I went with the the 2007 over a 2011 - I couldn't really tell any difference between the 2 engines and the 2007 had only 11k miles compared to the 18k of the 2011

The 2007 is non-servo, had all the toys (apart from ESA... which I'd never use), it was from a BMW dealer and it was an absolute spanker!

I couldn't be happier!
