Which Renthal Bars

The standard are single wall and might not be strong enough?

The twinwall seem larger (1200?) but I prefer the no cross bar

And fatbar what?

i used ktm fatbars nice bend and you can get converters from most motorcross shops ,cut the end of the orignal bar of and fit it into the fatbars and keep your hand gaurd mounts.

So the fatbars have a larger diameter and need new risers/holders? -is that it, and how easy to fit the end weights?

Am I right in saying the non fatbars are a straight fit but need a crossbar?

Getting rid of the heated grips so that's not a problem.

Standard (non fat bars) area a straight fit, need a crossbar, and work fine/are plenty strong enough - it's what I ahve on my 1100. You can retain BMW heated grips but it's a bit of a faff, alternatively you can fit Oxford Hot grips which are just as good these days.

Fatbars obviously need a fitting kit.

Both are for me a loads more comfortable option than standard.
