my dad 70+ age group wants a sat nav for the car. which do you think is most user friendly
it doesn't need any complicated extras like mp3, memory card slots etc
but simple to program post code and address search and clear graphics and voice comands.

are they all touch screen now ?

i have run garmin quest now the zumo 550 but he doesn't need the bike level of complexity.

by the way he is still a great driver having been a biker and a car racer and still active in vintage trials, so little threat to us bikers !!!

any advice welcome

before asking the children that run Halfords

I'm old :rob and use this one >>
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Garmin-Wide...p_ob_ce_title_0?ie=UTF8&qid=1274207465&sr=8-4
Very good price and even the missus finds it very easy to use...
Also has an auto' pin code that makes it worthless to thieves...
eg. if you switch it on at home it auto starts, otherwise 4 figure pin is needed..:thumb2
Forget it :blast and you have to drive to where the pin was set to restart the satnav automatically:thumb2

just bought a garmin nuvi 265 from amazon,£106.im as thick as shit and even i can use it.this is my first satnav.

thanks guys

good pointers- i'm considering the garmin 1340 nuvi at £106 at amazon.
may be a little overkill on the european mapping but it has a system that tells you what lane to be in at complicated junctions etc

still time to do the research as its not dads birthday till begining of june
