I am looking to replace my Autocom system for a Scala product in order to have bike to bike comms with my riding buddy.
He currently runs a S/R solo which, from previous posts, I understand does not have bike to bike capability.
The solution is therefore that we buy a pair a Scala devices that have B2B/Bluetooth.
Our requirements are :
1. Device provides good quality and reliable Bike to bike comms (upto say 1Km)
2. Device is compatible with Garmin Zumo for both Satnav and listening to MP3 music files stored on Garmin.
3. Want to be able to make and receive calls whilst riding.
4. Possibility of adding more Scala devices if group riding.
Item 1 to 3 are 100% required. Item 4 is a nice to have but not absolutely essential.
My question is, which of Scala devices meets our requirements.
I've seen S/R Teamsets, Multisets, Q2 etc and, to be honest, and rather confused by what does what.
I can obviously cover all the basis and go for the top of the range device but i don't want to shell out cash unnecessarily if a less expensive product will tick all the boxes.
All/any advise would be most appreciated.
Thanks
Rob
