This is the fog lamp switch from the 12GSA. I'm planning to cut off the plastic connection and use it to switch my HIDs.

The switch has a green LED which shows when it's active, but I imagine this is taken from the live feed, so not sure why there's three wires, unless it's to do with a delay.

The three wires are black, mauve and white/grey stripe. Anyone know which is which?

Tim

wiring

negative earth on the aux and dipped / main beams are all brown. If in doubt, simply use a multimeter on continuity setting and place across the brown wire and a exposed bolt on the frame or the negative battery terminal and it should close circuit ( if you have a audible setting on the multimeter like many do, it should "ring" ). Hope this helps a bit.
