Who built this then???

Pretty much like a real rallybike but still with telelever and 19" wheel?

With a bit more work it could be outstanding:clap
I'm not so sure it even is a GS
Not had chance to get a good look around it,but it has the braced wishbone of of the road bike as well,
It was perhaps built as a rally bike:confused::confused:
Need to take a look under the tank, I can see some sort of ign unit under there,
The painted liner in the tank is flaking,so the carbs need a clean, but It sounds lovely
I went up the road earlier,it's the sort of bike that puts a grin on your face:D

Like that Mike!:thumby:
Could be yours;)

John's from Chesterfield I believe. I know he's done a couple of builds converting telelever bikes to telescopic front ends but the bike in question here still has a telelever.

I'd suggest running it past Scriminger - they were probably involved in the carb conversion and should be able to point you in the right direction of the original owner.

Subframe is interesting - looks like a hacked about r1200gs. Why bother when a used 11XX subframe is readily available and cheap.

Interesting bike - looking forward to further developments.

I don't think the bike is a GS ,maybe a rockster?

Change of plan:blast
Been out on this tonight, think I'll keep it a while:D
It's a hoot:green gri:clap

I can confirm it goes well picks up clean and is very punchy:thumb the stance and seating position initially seems odd but once underway it feels pretty good but that was just a quick ride on muddy and wet road tonight. Once Mike's worked his magic BM's new products division will be round to bash his back doors in to take a look:eek:
