Mine melts the Number plate onto my third plate
Anyone elses do that

It was on my old GS12 Now on my GSA12 Still melts the plate but not badly enough for speed cameras court date 17th

Cant see any adjustment to the angle

Got the remus on the hp2 and it is close to the plate!

but i've got a metal french no. plate so it can get as hot as it likes

Remus do supply a deflector that makes the gases take a lower route.

That being said, my numberplate did suffer from the yellow backing peeling away from the perspex. And I did get home after one trip to find that a large chunk of my NSR indicator was missing, the remainder looking very distorted and melted.

Looking at the photo, it would appear to me that the Remus is leaning over to one side. This would then direct the hot exhaust directly at yer plate.

Undo the clamp bolt and rotate the whole can around so that the oval shape is at 90 degrees to the ground. The problem comes when you try to tighten the clamp up again. You may need the assitance of a block of wood to stop the can from twisting again.

+1 to all of that, to use the Adventure Rider term. I've got a full Remus system on mine and an unmelted number plate.

Your plate doesn't look as if it was melted here.....

Mine did the same. I used some washers in between the exhaust and where it mounts to pack it out as there was'nt much adjustment. Got a smaller but legal plate as well and its been ok since.

Have noticed that the pipe is off center but cant udjust it round

i had same problem put washers between exhaust and mount also got the touratech exhaust extention which looks good on bike bending it to reflect gases away from plate (fully recommended as this also stops the exhaust burning expandble panniers) also got a metal number plate from westgate road newcastle
it is annoying after what you pay for the exhaust and if you put the whole system on it is worse as all the angles are wrong and personally the extra power seems negliagable and no mater what the remus people say the gs runs a bit lean with the full remus system on hope this helps but get the exhaust extention it saves panniers?

If its the same sort of mounting plate attached to the silencer as on the 1150, you can slacken the bolts holding the bracket to the can, there is a bit of adjustment what can be gotted.

Mines the same. A smaller number plate did the trick.

Be careful adding any spacers because if you stop and think it can actually make it worse.

Plus, adding to many you could be adding a stress point on the y-piece. Hence the reason why they crack.
