Who likes a Guzzi. ?

I think so as well, look at the sticker on the front mudguard, it has no contours, same as the eagle above MOTO GUZZI and a giant fuel cap.

Well,if it was real I would give it a like.

Have seen several AI renditions of the Guzzi using the V100 engine and some of them are really nice

Anyone recall how the firing order works on the Guzzi? It looks like a 45 degree setup. And will undoubtedly have more clearance for the cylinders in the twisties, than the 180 degree BMW boxer design. The main advantage of the boxer is it is naturally balanced, and lower center of gravity. It doesn't seem like that is possible with the Guzzi. But it wouldn't matter that much anyway, as most designs are not naturally balanced. In racing Harleys are known for incredible traction. And this is due to very unbalanced design. Both designs have their merits.

For me the "One" I would want but probably never afford !

A "Dr John" B Model one of 13 in the UK

I did some work on it and rode it around and around where I live for an hour or So to make sure it was fixed

I was never too fussy on Guzzi since a California shook its head on a test run and scared the poop outta me !!

Anyway I ring the fella to tell him it seems to be fixed THEN He tells me someone offered him £14K for it And that was 15 plus years ago

I have NEVER been so exhilarated on a motorcycle before and I have ridden some bikes

Raw Power, Amazing Feedback and handling Oh and the SOUND!!! 😍😍😍😍

Maybe one of these days I will go and have a ride on a normal 1000S but I suspect it won't be in the same league :(

Whatever the balance of the 90 degree Guzzi, its vibes are never intrusive and the character it lends to the bike’s power delivery and sound are fabulous.

I once test rode a bike (won’t mention what for fear of offending) with no vibes and a very linear power delivery. In engineering terms a masterpiece. Bored me to death.

In theory, I think I would prefer the Harley,Duke/KTM approach with the cylinders aligned with the longer axis of the bike but Guzzi's do seem to be a nice bike. But if I have the cylinders sticking out I want the BMW/Zundapp boxer design mainly for the smoothness in a touring bike.
Actually in reality, there have around 20 different manufactures that made a boxer twin over the years. Most of the axis mcc's you see in WWII pics are in fact Zundapp. Seems the wehrmacht much prefer the Zundapp boxer twin. Read that the other day somewhere.

During the War, BMW concentrated on aircraft engine production with military motorcycles as a side-line.

I'm sure the Wehrmacht would have been delighted with whatever they were given, whether Zundapp or BMW.

Zundapp did make some 4-cyclinder aircraft engines for trainers etc but nothing on the scale of BMW.

The Honda 750 twin that was half a Jazz engine and is in multiple Honda bikes/scooters?

Have a ride on a v85tt. I think you'll be impressed. It's not all about the power. Very underrated. Unfortunately second hand value isn't very good. I was offered 3500 for my 2023 bike with 16000 km on it. Obviously a fuck off price. JJH

Actually, the wehrmacht was very picky about what they used. But,maybe not in the last part of the war though... But that is a thing, that Zundapp made almost all the boxer twin motorcycles for WWII. And like you said, BMW made aircraft engines. But Zundapp won the trial and got the contract for the motorcycles .... The armi much prefered it they say ...
My first solo MC ride, in 1967, was on a 1952 Harley war reparations bike. Which is an exact copy of a DKW 2 stroke design

The Wehrmacht were also supplied many NSU singles - NSU 601 (562cc single). They were faster and considered better for dispatch riders.
