Check with Glenboy of this parish for route details. The "unstructured " plan is to follow fairly closely the old N3 route up to Donegal, stopping off in Enniskillen for body and bike refueling. I think it will be a personal choice whether to travel in a group or not ( I don't like group travelling :pullface) but I guess it would be appropriate to keep a reasonable formation on the road.

All will unfold at Joe Duffy's on Tuesday morning :nenau

RobertG I think Glenboy has set up a "twitter" page so that "on the road" details can be given. I don't profess to know what that means but it should help you co-ordinate meeting the run!

Feargal's thinking is that there's going to be bikes of various vintages which won't all be able to travel at the same speed.
So rather than make the quicker guys ride at the pace of the slowest & cause a 'road block' everyone can ride as they like ;)

Frank, at the moment there are 17 people booked into the hotel in Donegal. On the facebook page 21 people have said they're going and there are 12 who have said maybe. That's as much as I know.

The route will be Dublin-Clonee-Dunshaughlin-Navan-Kells-Virginia-Cavan-Butlersbridge-Newtownbutler-Lisnaskea-Enniskillen (lunch stop)-Beleek-Ballyshannon-Donegal town.

There is a visit to Slieve league to be done and if it's not too late when we get to Donegal and the weather isn't too bad we could do it on Tue evening. Otherwise it will be on Wed morning - with a bit of a lie-in for those who were up late the night before :thumb

We'll leave Donegal on Wed morning at 11am (earlier if we do Slieve League on the Tue evening) and head for the Giant's Causeway via Ballybofey and Derry. We should arrive there about 1.30 / 2pm and we'll have lunch at the Causeway Hotel. Then it's around the Antrim Coast arriving in Belfast in the late afternoon on Wed.

As Jockser has said, I don't want to be too prescriptive about how people participate in this. Some go faster than others, some like to stop regularly for a smoke etc, so I'm going to leave it to each one to go at their own pace. People can buddy-up or go solo, whatever works. I imagine that if we all leave Dublin at 11 we'll all arrive at Enniskillen within a relatively short window anyway, and so on.

I'd prefer to meet en-route as well on the 23rd somewhere along the N3 North of Mullingar. A waypoint and approx time would be a help if possible.

We'll be leaving Joe Duffy's at 11, John and aiming to be in Enniskillen around lunchtime and it would be great to see you along the way. I don't know what our times will be for the various intermediary points but you'd probably be better able to guess that yourself anyway. :thumb2

I plan on being at the start and then going as far as Enniskillen.

I am planning to split off then and do the Mayo & Galway photo rally points.
