Since i posted my tale on the "I'm new here please be gentle" forum and had the "This ain't for real" response from "Engineer" i thought why doesn't he think it's for real. Surely we were not born Tossers (Don't answer that!!!!!) Surely we all have a tale to tell as to how we ended up with our respective GS's.
Go on share.
This is what "Engineer" thought wasn't real...i can assure you it is.
" My name is Raboomdea and i am a tosser
So after riding my Suzuki Van Van so long the option was take the test or re do a CBT i took the plunge and did my big bike...then i ran out arms in the air and threw money at a friend who was selling his SV650..I rode it....I hated it....i only used it when conditions were fantastic, i developed a phobia about right turns (Don't Ask) and mostly i sat chained to the wall of my house like a great big growth.
Then i went to India and rode Royal Enfield through the Himalayas.(And on occasion directly at them).....i came back and wanted one. It was short, it was steady, it would ride over any surface and i loved it (Its cause i hated the SV), However all that chrome would have just melted in the Scottish summer never mind winter. So i had a serious word with myself and fortunatly enough my friend who works with John Clarks BMW....
I want a big bike i said, not a fast bike but one which will take me happily were i want to go, thats low enough to accomodate my short arse'd ness (Oh and since my hands get cold easily - heated grips would be nice). Come with me he said, we have an open day and i have the very bike.!!!!
Test ride of a F650GS complete i again ran towards a sales man with my arms in the air and threw money (And the SV) at him .
So here i am a happy tosser (Are girls tossers or twirlers ??) Her name is Geraldine, she's short, red and keeps my hands warm....and i love her.
I have bought her many presents which are in the post and i will cuddle and farkle her with love. I will spend many hours with her and i fear my better half may get jealous.
I am if you had not guessed very happy to be here with you big bunch of tossers."
