Why oh why?

I took my Yamaha XJR1300 SP 2001 to get it MOT'd and I wondered why?
Why did I buy a 2014 GS? the XJR is smoother, has no vibes, has a better transmission and final drive even though it has a chain my GS feels like it has a slack chain! OK the GS has got modern electronics, but that said its never let me down, the switch gear is so much better on my Yam it's smooth unlike the 'sticky' feeling GS switch gear, unless things change I think this will be my first and last GS, premium brand really?, the Japs just do it better!

Oh and it passed its MOT no probs

For me the XJR is too low, I like the high up dominating position the GS provides.

i had one years ago on a w plate, it looked and rode like a 70s bike,,
with ohlins stickers on shite suspension, and no ground clearance,,it was silky smooth though,,
