Nipped up to Tan Hill pub to meet some old friends from Dartmoor for lunch, weather was glorious and also quite incidentally bumped into Geirge Cherry, still going strong on his KTM 950 Adventure at nearly 80, he was up from Dorset too

I am most definitely NOT pleased. We set out at 4:30am this morning to get a lift to the top of Mt Lachens, remember the hill where I posted the off road photo of the GSA last Friday? Well today was fecking Lashing all right, we made 16kms, and my mate had a horrible off, going over the bars, and ended up getting the handlebar end right in the thigh, about an inch from his bawbag I wiped oot shortly after as it was really slippy, so we had a couple of beers in Mons and called it a day, feckin soaked....
Forecast for the rest of the week is showery and I'm riding 1020kms to LeMans on Friday morning. Pah! Dad said it was 23C and sunny in Dundee today..

George is the oldest juvenile delinquent on the planet. The man gets around - I bumped into him in Dinan a few years ago, although a pensioner in pimp pants does tend to stand out anyway.

George is a star, last saw him in 2005 at the station bar in Bardonecchia, on Stella Alpina weekend..............he'd just got his 950 Adv, now he's done 52,000 miles on it

He still does white water kayaking competitions - entering the veteran class

He's truly amazing
