hi, i am looking at investing in a pair of wilbers for my 1998 1100. i do a lot of 2 up touring/camping on it and the original shocks are basically tired and knackered.
my question is aimed specifically at the location/fitting of the rear remote preload adjuster which i want. doing a search on here the place that is commonly used is the right hand passenger footrest hanger. is there any reason it can't be mounted back where the original preload adj is, which would be my preferred position, or has anyone actually done this. my only thoughts to why it has to be moved is either the adjusting unit itself is much larger and wont physically fit or the hydraulic pipe is too short.
i called jon at revs racing today and he wants to see the bike and have a look so going down there at weekend. just thought i would ask the question prior to going
thanks
